In high school during Silent Reading I would grab a stack of the OLDEST National Geographics I could find, in order to look at all the nostalgic car ads! I loved the artist renderings of the cars and the ideal American life, Handsome hard working Dad, lovely June Cleaver Mom, a Dennis the Mennis child, and a dog. Thanks for posting all the ads! I wish a current car maker would do a modernized version of theses ads!

American cars were my favorties in collecting show room
books etc from the 1950's. I have collected these for years
As a small boy my Dad tok me to visit all of the major car
dealers in Des Moines. All are gone now to the suburbs,
someday, I hope to acquire a restored car. I could spend hourson this site
