I think that the “make-up” be it photoshopping or actual make-up serves to make the models that much more surreal. Just as the way the the ink/paint doesnt just diffuse into the water, it’s thick and dense, it adds weight to the photo just as much as the make-up effect does. Almost mannequin like. Wonderful attention to detail.

I do not agree with the “too much make up” comments. The make up is part of the art……. or painting. It is not there to enhance the “self beauty” or vanity of the people instead it is part of the art. Personally I find these photos an amazing art form. Especially with so many “too perfect” shots that come through now because of Photoshop. This uses the people and the shots to make the art to the editing!

Great comments though people. This is what art is meant to do … create discussion!

I agree. #4 in the yellow paint has sooo much makeup, the photo looks photoshopped! I think she’s onto something, but not sure she’s there just yet….

hmm…I can’t say I like how much makeup is caked on to the girls’ faces. It takes it from surreal to disgusting
