Concept of One-Wheel Electric Scooter
from RYNO Motors

one wheel scooter

RYNO Motors has developed the world’s first self-balancing one wheel electric scooter. The scooter has a range of about 30 miles and can hit a top speed of 25mph. It weighs a mere 125 pounds and can support a rider weight of 250lbs. Multiple sensors constantly monitor the balance of the motorcycle during the movement and control system is ready to seize control of the bike if the driver ignores the warning and, for example, exceeds the maximum permissible speed or bends the car under a dangerous angle. There is also a system for monitoring the battery status (LiFePo4, by the way). When the battery level drops to 25%, the system warns the driver signal is yellow, up to 5% – red. It is assumed that the model will cost $3500.

    I’d like one.
Very cool. Very efficient. Love the whole idea the wheel being the motor.. no chains, drive shafts, no waste. I how and where the transmission is? Top speed? battery charge life, battery life in terms of how many charges? Cost to replace batteries? Will you be able to adapt future improved batteries.

I guess one big challenge is arguing this belongs on the sidewalk and not the street and arguing it does not neeed a state driving license or tag? Will private and gov buildings let you in with it?

And final concern… high speed face plant?
