Elio Motors' Futuristic Three-Wheeled Car

Elio three-wheeled car

Founded in 2008 by Mr. Paul Elio, Elio Motors set out to provide affordable transportation to those commuters seeking an alternative while providing vital American jobs. The sleek three-wheeled car looks futuristic, but, as its creator acknowledges, it uses no new technology. What makes the Elio Motors vehicle unique is its ultra-high fuel economy and an ultra-low price tag: $6,800. The vehicle promises to deliver as much as 84 miles per gallon of gasoline for highway driving. It accelerates as quickly as many cars on the road – to 100 miles per hour in 9.6 seconds, according to the company. Urban fuel economy is estimated at 49 miles per gallon. Elio is targeting the U.S. market but hopes to eventually ship internationally.

It’s not a car since it needs 4 wheels. It’s classified & registered as a motorcycle also without the need for a helmet driver & backseat passenger with 3 airbags in the updated version with front lights built into front of body of motor vehicle.

Great design and nice piece of work.

The front of the car makes it look like an annoyed goldfish.
