This time we want to show you some typography art works created by Peter Tarka, graphic designer from Wrocław, Poland. “He has worked as an graphic designer since 2008. “These days, it is hard to imagine just how common house sparrows used to be. Sparrows were everywhere, the ultimate groupie to humankind. It seemed that they were untouchable. Study proves that there is a sharp decline in the number of house sparrows. The driving force is the lack of nesting and breeding spaces. With high-rises and malls coming up everywhere, the birds have been displaced. So, an idea called “Living Typography” was developed. Hollow wooden 3D alphabets that could also act as a bird’s nest were created. Appropriate alphabets were sent to a friends and family. They could keep it outside their house as their nameplate or house number. This nameplate/House number also acted as nests for birds amidst concrete jungle of the city.” Project was created by Nishant Jethi from Mumbai, India. Take a look!
Today we want to show you interesting brand identity based on creative high quality typography. The creator of this identity is designer from France Drach P. Claude. “The identity created for the french bistro “l’Épicerie” is inspired by its theme and its aesthetic “old France”. The project is based on the popular and obsolete image of merchant who prepares the orders for his customers using kraft packaging paper and bits of string. The menu comes in two versions, the grocer’s notebook to flick through, or the newspaper to unfold.” Take a look!
For sure you will like this interesting example of typography but you will say WOW when realize that these creative letters are real. They were created by Belgian studio Coming Soon for the Gent Scheppende Stad (Ghent Creative City). By the words of creators: “Gent Scheppende Stad (Ghent Creative City) is an initiative of the city council of Ghent to (together with several creative forces/different sectors of society) look for solutions for the urban challenges, so they can shape the future of Ghent together. Gent Scheppende Stad has been organized as a network of equal partners (companies, associations and individuals). There is no membership, everyones free to commit themselves for a short or long period. Soon created 4 big letters G, E, N and T, on which the habitat of Ghent (GENT) was represented by means of scale models.”
Today we’ll show you something really interesting. It’s an amazing combination of 3D types and impressive architectural ideas. Such clever idea came in mind of illustrator from United Kingdom Chris LaBrooy. We’ve already shown you some of his work but this one is really great. By the words of Chris this collection is “typographic expression of my design and architecture heroes”. Just take a look and you will like it! Have fun!
