It’s always fascinating to see how different designers create wildly different products using the same concept as a starting point. It’s even more interesting when that concept is as captivating as the passage of time. Anicorn aims to illustrate the beauty of design and time by launching the “The Trio of Time” international artist collaboration project. The company’s founders, Joe Kwan and Chris Chan, will travel the world to work with prominent designers who will then transpose their view of time into distinctive timepieces that display different cultural perspectives and design methods. Just like the “Series 000” and the “Series K452”, which launched on Kickstarter with resounding success, the first chapter of the TTT saga begins on the crowdfunding site. “We will collaborate with a local designer in three different cities around the world to create a timepiece together, which will be released here on Kickstarter. Each watch will feature a unique design that represents the designer’s view on passing time.” And Hidden Time is the fisrt watch from this series. Hidden Time’s watch face features a beautiful gradient display under a crystal covering where numbers are firmly printed. As hours pass, the hour gradient disc rotates and “hidden time” is revealed. The watch helps you focus on time in the moment, using a modern interpretation of the camouflage effect to hide the passing hours.
