One of the luxurious watch brands for men Chopard has released one of the most extravagant Chopard wristwatch. The incredible Chopard L.U.C Perpetual T Spirit of la Santa Muerte was specially designed for the 2018 SIAR watch fair in Mexico. This unusual and oddly appealing watch was dressed up in eye catching motifs inspired by Mexico’s Día de Los Muertos (or the Day of the Dead). The Chopard L.U.C Perpetual T Spirit of la Santa Muerte is named after the Mexican patron saint of death, which explains the liberal use of the skull motif, but there are many other details worth mentioning, like the perpetual calendar, an invisible tourbillon regulator or a 9-day power reserve.
The dial itself is made from a solid 18k gold disc, with radial guilloche edges and an incredible, hand-engraved skull that was painted with black lacquer. The sub-dials of the perpetual calendar actually form the eyes of the skull, while its teeth stand out thanks to mother-of-pearl and the blacked-out tourbillon bridge looks like a fancy moustache. In might be odd to realize that the tourbillon is entirely hidden, but this watch is full of surprises.
If this unique timepiece hasn’t been sold already, you should know that the Chopard L.U.C Perpetual T Spirit of la Santa Muerte is valued at 244,500 Swiss Francs, but you could order similar custom timepieces if you really want one. Or you can check top 10 most expensive wrist watches in the world
