Digital Paper Cuts By Eiko Ojala

Take a look at the illustration work of Estonian artist Eiko Ojala. The artist works digitally without the aid of 3D software where he draws everything by hand to create landscapes, figures and portraits that look as if they’ve been cut from paper. His process involves a mix of digital illustration, paper textures, and a mix of both real and artificial shadows. Looking at his illustrations, it’s hard to tell which ones are made from real paper and which ones are not!

He also teaches digital arts & design, graphics, interior design and ceramic design at multiple art institutes.

Corrado Vanelli is an extremely talented digital artist living and working in Italy. He discovered computer graphics around the mid 90′s. After some experiments with 3D modeling he decided to work only with 2D painting because its the best way for him to expand and concretize his ideas. His artwork are really brilliant.
