Hilarious Similarities Between Humans And Dogs by Gerrard Gethings

Gerrard Gethings, a well-known animal photographer, was commissioned by Laurence King Publishing to photograph 25 pairs of identical-looking humans and their dogs for a game called “Do You Look Like Your Dog?“. These furry friends and their owners looks so much alike you might do a double take. Now, you can try your own version of this study—sort of. Gethings’ striking photographs are part of a memory card game aptly called Do You Look Like Your Dog? Featuring 50 cards, it challenges you to match 25 people with their furry friends all while enjoying Gethings’ fun photography. The boxed game was recently released through Laurence King Publishing and is available on their website. Sony’s Newest Aibo Robot Dog Toy

Sony has announced the release of its latest robotic dog, Aibo. This latest evolution of the autonomous robot can “form an emotional bond with members of the household while providing them with love, affection, and the joy of nurturing and raising a companion,” Sony says. Featuring a dynamic range of movements and eager responsiveness, the puppy bot also develops its own unique personality as it grows closer to its owners. From a technical standpoint, Sony developed ultracompact 1- and 2-axis actuators to bring Aibo to life. The features allow it to express its emotion and give the bot’s compact body the freedom to move along a total of 22 axes, while its eyes utilize two OLEDs that offer nuanced expressions. Curious aibo can actively seek out its owners, detect words of praise, smiles, head and back scratches, petting, and more.

Luxurious Dream Doghouse by Samsung

On display at birmingham’s 2015 Crufts, the world’s largest dog show, the Samsung “dream doghouse” is a one-off design, modeled by architects to create the most suitable and luxurious exterior and interior as possible. Costing a grand $30,600 USD and taking six weeks to produce, the elegant kennel is aimed for pampered pooches who can enjoy two indoor living areas – one for rest and relaxation, and the other for dining and entertainment. The inside features a “push-to-woof” call bell, themed wallpaper, framed portraits of family and friends, a contemporary skylight and even a operational snack dispenser. On the astroturfed outside area, the pet can use a specifically designed treadmill and a hot-tub spa. “The Samsung dream doghouse looks sleek and modern, featuring the kind of tech the discerning dog of the future will need,” Andy Griffiths, president of Samsung Electronics U.K. and Ireland, said in a news release on Wednesday. “from dogs who have social media profiles, to owners who use video calling to check on their pet while away, technology is fast becoming an integral part of everyday life.”
