Relonch Camera – Smart Camera for Design Lovers

Plenty of us have big, expensive standalone cameras – and folders full of unfulfilled potential to go along with them. Relonch Camera promises to shift this entire paradigm by making the camera a service instead of a large purchase. The camera itself is wrapped in a handsome leather case that covers everything but the lens, shutter button, and viewfinder, removing the need/temptation to fiddle with settings. Your shots are uploaded via a built-in SIM card to their servers, where sophisticated algorithms pick your best shots, automatically adjust/develop them, and send them to the app for review. Pick your favorite photo from each day, and they’ll send you a monthly photobook filled with your latest memories. All without the need to go to a camera shop or fire up a filter app.

Limited Edition Fedrigoni Leica

A piece of paper merges an extraordinary packaging concept and an exceptional product into one. Sold in Fedrigoni showrooms only, the limited Edition of Leica Cameras is wrapped so intimately by fine paper, the “unboxing” reminds of a paper sample book and turns into a Fedrigoni brand experience. Finally, the paper also replaces the cameras traditional leather banderole and becomes an integral part of it and not just its packaging. Designed by Geometry Global, Germany.

Stylish Leica X3 Concept by Vincent Sall

Swedish designer Vincent Sall proposed the concept of the camera, combining style and image of an old Leica and monocle. Leica X3 camera body consists of a lens, which contains all the buttons, and the cover of the lens itself. “Every day people around the world take millions of pictures. The modern culture of sharing photos with your friends and loved ones has never been bigger. This project is about filling the gap between big cameras with great image quality and smartphone cameras with limited quality/control. This project is a personal project for self promotion only. Leica AG has not been included in the process in any way. I take no responsibility for reposts.” Have fun!

Lomography – La Sardina Metal Western Edition

Today we want to show you very interesting project. Description from the author: "Belle Starr" and "Coyote" were the names chosen for this oxidized metal Western edition of La Sardina. These 35mm cameras are equipped with a wide-angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities and a rewind dial. The vintage design of the camera reminds us to the fish tin cans. La Sardina metallic edition is packed in on a wooden box simulating the Fish Market wooden crates. It stores the contents in two different layers. The first layer includes the camera with flash (plus colors filters); the second layer stores the book, poster & manual and add-on product, depending on the edition. For this edition, we included a set of postcards inspired on the Western theme and a linen photo accordion booklet. All the items were packed in on a laser burn wooden box, same as La Sardina Caviar Edition." Montserrat Llaurado worked on the creative direction, concept development and product design management of the edition; including packaging, product add-ons, book design and worldwide marketing collateral material for the launch campaigns throughout the online, retail and wholesale channels. Jewelry for Leica Photo Camera by Jay Tsujimura

Japanese designer Jay Tsujimura has conceived the “Premium Floral” and “Premium Lizard”, a series of elegant adornments for the classic Leica. The work is informed by Tsujimura’s skill in jewelry design, having acquired traditional techniques and knowledge of historical styles through careful observation of architecture and antique markets. This allowed him to create ornamental additions for the hot shoe and soft release components of the camera with either organic detailing or a distinctive stippled texture, mimicking that of reptilian skin. The customized pieces are a very stylish fashion statement for the Leica in Tokyo, enhancing the already sophisticated photographic experience.
