Idda van Munster… Photographer Maja Topčagić

Idda van Munster is the pseudonym of a Bosnian blogger, model, and make-up artist Aida Đapo. She is Bosnia’s first pin-up girl. Her inspiration comes from the fashion and hairstyles of the 1920s to 1960s. Her favorite TV show as a child was “The Munsters” and her pseudonym Idda van Munster originates from her admiration of the “glamorous” character Marilyn Munster. Đapo also lists actress Marlene Dietrich as an inspiration. And in this post you will find gorgeous photos captured by talented photographer Maja Topčagić. Immerse yourself into atmosphere of a dizzying femininity!

“Pin-up girl is a model whose mass-produced pictures see wide appeal as popular culture.” That’s exact definition from Wikipedia. Talented photographer Marianna Anagnostopoulou has created a series of photos with pun-up girls and some of these photos are already well known. But we still decided to feature them on our website. Take a look!

Milky Pin-Up by Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz

Do you remember our previous post Got Milk? Today we want to continue this theme. Utilizing high-speed techniques, photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz has created incredible pin-ups, snapping the models just as milk covers them to give the impression of clothing. The photos are for a 2014 “Milky Pin-Ups Calendar” that will be available in November. You can read all about the process on the Aurum Light Blog.

Chocolate with Attitude

Bessermachen design studio created stunning collection containing 12 chocolates for 12 months. “Bessermachen design studio had a dream about how archetypes could be shown as young women, calendar girls in a classic 50s style, to create the perfect packaging for archetypes and chocolates. But we knew that for it to be authentic, it would have to be done right. Packaging for the chocolates is a chapter for itself. Everything from weight to quality and coating needs to be taken into consideration. Suggestions range from using fabrics to cardboard. But in the spirit of the 50s we end up choosing tin boxes. The production, however, is modern and made in China.” Take a look!
