Elegant Boat Firmship 42 by Studio Job

Studio Job from Belgium in collaboration with Dutch nautical architect Willem Nieland created a classic boat with a modern look Firmship 42. The boat is coated completely in shades of grey with teak doors, furniture and interior fittings plus Corian surfaces in place of the usual plastic found aboard boats. Upholstery, furniture details and a stained glass window incorporate seafaring symbols like anchors, ship’s wheels, skull-and-crossbones and sea creatures. Called Firmship 42, the boat was originally commissioned by Casper Vissers, founder of the Moooi furniture brand, for his family’s own use but there are now plans to collaborate on a 60-foot version under the Firmship brand.

Wonderlamps

Dutch artists from Studio Job and German designer Pieke Bergmans created a series of seven original bronze lamps called Wonderlamps. Blown by glass blowers lamps are made in the form of a flashlight, pipes, pots, lamps of Aladdin, ambient light bulbs and fluorescent lamps. Nice to see what people think, even when doing such seemingly simple things like light bulbs. Admiration and respect.
