Tesla Launches Limited Edition Surfboard

Built in collaboration with Lost Surfboards and world-renowned shaper Matt “Mayhem” Biolos, the Tesla Surfboard is made to carve the surf like their cars carve the pavement. It’s made with a mixture of the same matte and gloss finishes used on their cars and is reinforced with “Black Dart” carbon fiber. Tesla Electric Helicopter Concept by Antonio Paglia

We’ve already shown you a few examples of helicopter concepts for example Airbus Helicopter ‘H160’. But this one is really exeptional! Despite its unqiue design, this is a concept of electric helicopter! Designer Antonio Paglia sure seems to think the Tesla Helicopter is well on its way. Designed for efficiency and speed, the Helicopter would do well in departments like safety and patrol, allowing the administration to effectively patrol the skies and ground while even in some cases offer assistance in an emergency. Innovative Desert House With Tesla Solar Roof

BMDesign‘s ‘Alavi house’ is located in the city of Isfahan in Iran, set at the foothills of the Zagros mountain range on the edge of the desert, with hardly any rainfall and year-round high temperatures. To get around this problem, the architects designed the building with a sloped roof to create areas of negative pressure that help to ventilate the building and keep it cool. Sitting on top of this concrete house is a “double skin”, finished in new invisible Tesla solar cells, to truly make the most of life in the desert. This second layer can be opened or closed, meaning that in cold winter days the residents can open it and allow the afternoon sun to warm the roof while in the hot summer days, this second skin keeps the roof in shade.

How Tesla Model S Might Look Like

As you know Tesla decided that their model S would no longer contain a discernible radiator grill. There are many people who don’t understand this design solution. And one of them is a designer Steel Drake who redesigned the Model S. The new concept, called the Model SD, features a rather different looking front detail. Between the two headlights, around a tiny triangular radiator grill lies the car’s new mouth. Taking inspiration from grill designs and marrying it with illumination, the car’s front features an interactive inverted-mustache panel of lights that give the car its face-like quality again while also bringing something innovative. The detail lights up on ignition, almost looking like an air-flow pattern. It even changes color, based on your driving mode.

Tesla T1 Concept For 24 Hours of Le Mans

Developed for the Michelin Design Challenge 2017, the goal consisted in create a ready to race, winning machine for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Tesla T1 is the creation of a team of designers, that imagined a 2030 Tesla racing car good enough for the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The concept proposal was build up around the idea of using an unlimited power resource as the wind. From this point, everything took up shape starting from the four wheels: they had to serve as energy recovery systems taking advantage of Le Mans average speeds per lap and without depending only in braking regeneration as nowadays. The T1 has four air turbines integrated in the wheels, which are able to redirect the air through specific points crucial in the design: a fifth wind turbine in the body and the rear diffuser. Tesla Model M Motorcycle

Tesla’s four-wheeled offerings have been a huge hit among automotive enthusiasts, so we can only imagine just how nuts fans will go if/when the brand ever reveals a 2-wheeled electric vehicle. Independent designer Jans Slapins shows us what he thinks Elon Musk and company could cook up with this Tesla Model M motorcycle concept. The London-based designer has done a stellar job with the concept bike, keeping the design aesthetics in line with what we’ve become accustomed to from the California EV producer. The bike is powered by a 204 PS (150kW) electric motor that allows the rider to choose from four different computer controlled modes including Race, Cruise, Standard and Eco. The electric motor is powered by lithium-ion batteries that are installed low on the bike’s frame. The motorcycle features no transmission, offers up a trunk storage space where the fuel tank would normally be (perfect for holding a full face helmet), lightweight carbon fiber wheels, and a mono shock out back along with upside down forks up front for suspension. 2015 Tesla Roadster 3.0

The automotive company Tesla has announced their latest upgrade, the “Roadster 3.0” which features a more efficient battery that enables it to confidently drive over 400 miles. This will be demonstrated in early 2015, when a non-stop journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles will take place. In the beginning of the spring, these modifications can be made via appointments, when the final safety validations are completed. The tesla “Roadster 3.0 package” consists of three main improvements: the batteries, aerodynamics and the rolling resistance. The new battery technology upgrades the lithium ion cell which was state of the art in 2008 and the first put into a production vehicle, to produce 31% more energy and around 70kWh. Thanks to a retrofit aero kit, its drag coefficient has improved by 15% to drop down to 0.31, and the rolling resistance coefficient has also been bettered to 8.9 kg/ton instead of 11.0.
