I tried the “Mac Button – Photoshop Tutorial”. I have CS3, and the result was completely different after following to the T all instructions, and re-checking it 3 times. Some crucial step was left out or is incorrect on the tutorial. No use following it. My button remained black with the 3-D embossed effect around the edges, but that was all. I did not get the embossed 3-D highlight and shadow effect as in the example and neither did the button turn out mostly white, it remained mostly black and the tutorial shows to start with a black image. Even when I started with a white image the effect was not the same. Wasting my time with invalid examples.
