Aerial Art Installation by Tomás Saraceno

The Argentinean artist Tomás Saraceno continues his exploration of art, life and science with his exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. Aria is a set of installations and immersive experiences that move humans out of the center of the universe and ask them, instead of standing side by side with nature, to create a new harmony. Through reflective orbs, cobwebs and aerial plants, Saraceno sends the message that we cannot afford to wait any longer to save our ecosystems.

“Carbon emissions fill the air, particles float inside our lungs while electromagnetic radiation envelops the earth,” says Saraceno. “However, another era is possible, an era of aeroscene – an era of interplanetary sensitivity thanks to a new ecology of practice.
