Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow Concept Car

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQ Silver Arrow Concept Car

Looking to the past can inspire the future, as it did with the sleek silver beauty Mercedes-Benz unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The legendary luxury carmaker was influenced by their 1937 W 125 Grand Prix racer driven by Rudolf Caracciola, which flew at 268.7mph — a public road record that wasn’t broken until 2017. The aerodynamic electric Silver Arrow is made from carbon fiber and coated with alubeam silver. Its slender, seamless design is accented with lighting strips on the side skirts, leading to a pair of extendible spoilers that can act as air brakes. The vehicle sits on lightweight aluminum wheels with 168 spokes, each painted in rose gold. Step into the cockpit and find a saddle brown leather seat, brushed aluminum, walnut detailing, and a huge panoramic screen. Underneath the hood, the electric motors deliver 750 horsepower with a range of up to 248 miles. It even has artificial intelligence that can set you up to enter a virtual race against past or present silver arrow racing cars. To top it off, it has a touchscreen on the steering wheel that you can use to choose different driving modes or configure sound settings, like making the car roar as if it were a Formula 1 Silver Arrow.
