Today we want to show you unique and beautiful sculptural furniture by Peter Rolfe. He studied to work with wood for a long time. The first five years he simply watched the work of masters and learned to handle solid hardwood with traditional methods. The next seven years, he is more trained in modern techniques of processing wood. Due to his experience today Peter Rolfe easily creates furniture from simple boxes for jewelry, to complex sculptural installations.
The following furniture in the form of human body made from birch ply.
Pandora’s Box. It’s very complicated jewerly box. Materials: oak, burr oak, burr amboyna, ebony, macassar ebony and reclaimed afromosia.
The ‘Bud’. It’s also jewerly box. The forms of bud of rose and artichoke inspired Peter Rolf for creation such complicated jewerly box. Materials: oak, burr oak, macassar ebony, maple and bubinga.
The “Orbs”. Contemporary furniture. Materials: birch ply, black stained maple with sycamore drawers.

Where can I purchase these?? I am interested in the man torso and the round ball schulture
Cool! I love this stuff,
Amazing, excellent finish. I wonder how much they cost. It would be great to have one of those at home.
Wow. I want one, lol!
Those designs are like nothing I’ve seen before. He placed the drawers in anatomically correct places, LOL. pretty funny…
Great Designs.Absolutely breath taking!
anyone else notice how there is only one male figure in a completely non sexual pose and that there are several female figures, one in an especially sexual pose? i’m sorry, but those are only further sexualizing women in an already OVER sexualized world. the rest are pretty nice though.
You know this is only a sample of his work, perhaps there are more of the female form that aren’t beautiful? Also there aren’t several female figures here, there are only two with multiple pictures of both. If you had been paying attention to more artists/works of art, the two in the female form are based off of poses from the works of Salvador Dali. The wood crafter is paying homage to another artist, not trying to objectify the female form.
I adore the pandoras box and bud jewellery box, great stuff…
I chuckled at the female one. Would one ever get tired of storing items in her butt?
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

A cock-and-balls would have made an awesome drawer-pull.
these remind me of a clockwork orange
Wonderful!!
It would be nice if Salvador Dali got some props for the first pieces.
