Geometric Residential Project 'Kuroi Ki' by Antony Gibbon

Architectural designer Antony Gibbon presents an assemblage of geometric volumes with his residential project ‘Kuroi Ki.’ The envisioned proposal comprises dramatic, sloping surfaces which recall the profile of the traditional housing type with a contemporary expression. The height of each volume is exaggerated with a vertically clad charred wood finish and soaring, full height glazing.

The residential ‘Kuroi Ki’ by Antony Gibbon is comprised of a group of clustered geometries. The dwelling is organized around a conditioned, patio space defined by a tile finish and shifting levels. The Mexico-based designer exhibits an expressive formal language which ranges from stark angles — seen with his Kuroi Ki proposal as well as his reptilia house — to sweeping organic curves as seen in such former projects as his twine house.
