Famous Album Covers Expanded by Aptitude

The album cover may be a fantastic canvas for an unforgettable image, but it’s still a limited one. The biggest it’s ever reached is the 12 inches of the old record sleeves – but even then, it was just a snapshot of a wider scene. So what was really happening just beyond the edges of the record? Creative digital agency Aptitude have allowed themselves to speculate what the rest of the scene of a host of classic album covers would look like. These album covers below have been cropped in to a “bigger picture” to show a message or situation. While we know the situations that the covers have been placed into are not the true messages, it shows us that in life itself we only see what we want to see and forget the bigger picture. Enjoy these famous album covers, and their “bigger picture”!

New Album of Zinkplaat – Scratch it Off

Interesting solution for CD cover was presented by pop-rock-blues-fusion band from South Africa – Zinkplaat. Their fourth album ‘Mooi Besoedeling’ which translates as ‘Beautiful Polution’ comes with scratch-off ink layer on the front and back and also with quitar pick ot scratch the ink off. If you’re bored with clean style original cover just scratch it off and get colorful one. This idea belongs to Fanakalo.
