Photographer Creates Magical Scenes With Small Toys

To be creative you have to keep your inner child alive. Mexican photographer Felix Hernandez Rodriguez is a grown-up who’s never stopped playing. He creates his majestic photographs including small toys. Felix says that his photography is not “what exists there, but portray what exist in me”. The photographer creates magical scenes with the help of mundane products, such as flour to imitate snow or cigarette smokes to add some atmosphere. Felix mixes real and scaled models with the help of his vivid imagination and Photoshop. He uses a macro lens and the technique called “focus stacking’, when multiple photos are merged to create a wider focus. “It’s such a big pleasure to create, almost like a powerful drug… you soon are addicted to it.” See the addictive shots and behind-the-scenes below!

LEGO Mini Cooper Set

LEGO‘s latest kit based on a real vehicle is this spectacular 1,077-piece Mini Cooper. Specifically, the car is the MINI Cooper Mk VII, measuring over 4 inches high, 9 inches long and 5 inches wide. The body is finished in a classic green and white color scheme with white wing mirrors and racing stripes. Features include sporty fog lights, detailed engine and a separate spare tire compartment, as well as opening doors, hood and trunk. Additionally, the roof can be removed to allow access to a tan colored interior with patterned seats, veneer-style dashboard, turning steering wheel, and moving gearshift and handbrake. Official “Simpsons” LEGO Brick Set

For fans of the hit animated sitcom, LEGO has finally unveiled the official “Simpsons” LEGO brick set. Created in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, the set will allow fans to build and recreate their very own version of The Simpsons house. The set will only go on sale on 1st February 2014. The toy company will also be releasing a set of Simpsons minifigs in May. The set will be priced at US$200, while the minifigs will go at $4 each. The set will feature the entire Simpson’s house, and minifigs of the show’s main characters, namely Homer, Bart, Marge, Maggie, Lisa and Ned Flanders.
