Sleepless nights come in many forms. For some, it is an overactive mind that refuses to slow down. For others, it is waking too early, struggling with jet lag, reacting to noise or light, or simply feeling emotionally or physically unsettled. The usual response has been to add more tools to the bedside table. White-noise machines, sleep lamps, breathing apps, meditation videos. Each one helps in isolation, but together they create clutter and often add more screens and decisions right before sleep.

Serapis was designed as a single, self-contained alternative. Created by Zhang Wenjie, it is a pyramid-shaped bedside object that combines multiple calming methods into one quiet system. Layered white noise, breathing light, Somnofractal visuals, Schumann Resonance, and calming geometry work together instead of competing for attention. There is no app, no phone interaction, and no need to manage several devices. The focus is on helping the brain settle naturally through sound, light, rhythm, and pattern.

Not all sleep problems have the same cause, so Serapis begins with a short, two-minute sleep-type test. Based on patterns like overthinking, jet lag, sensitivity to light or noise, emotional heaviness, or difficulty falling asleep, the device adjusts its emphasis. Some users benefit more from visuals and gentle sound, while others rely mainly on subtle breathing light and noise masking that does not brighten the room.

At its core, Serapis runs a five-part system in sync. A low-frequency Schumann Resonance at 7.83 Hz provides a calm background rhythm. Layered sound blends deep delta tones with soft pink noise to mask distractions. Breathing light pulses slowly in eight to twelve second cycles to encourage relaxed breathing. Somnofractal visuals offer predictable patterns for the eyes to rest on briefly, and the pyramid shape helps diffuse sound while acting as a visual anchor on the nightstand.

Using the device is simple. You place it by the bed, touch to power it on, select a 30 or 60 minute session, and lie down. There is nothing to unlock, scroll, or adjust further. Serapis is meant to feel like a quiet presence rather than another source of stimulation.

Physically, it measures about 200 × 200 × 205 mm and weighs around 1.2 kg, giving it a solid, intentional feel. Built from metal and plastic with a 12 V input, it is designed to blend into the room as an object, not stand out as a gadget. The result is a minimalist, all-in-one sleep aid that simplifies the nightly routine instead of adding to it.
