If you worry about safety of your pet specifically cat or mouse you should definetely check this awesome collection of armour for animals. This collection was created by Canadian artist Jeff de Boer and consist of armour for gladiators, medieval knights and even Samurais. Creation of each armour for a mouse takes from 10 to 40 hours, while armour for cats demands bigger efforts: from 50 to 100 hours. Made out from silver, bronze and wood these art works cost $500-2,000. For protectors of animals we’re glad to notice that Jeff didn’t experiment with mices, but his attempt to dress a cat in a knightly armour has ended with scratches and scars. Hope you’ll like it!

  1. Are they all sold? May we buy a cat armor? My husband is a sculptor, works in everything from pewter to gold, and has a comparable level of detail, if that’s possible. I’d love to give him a cat armor; not guessing what our cats might think………..Please do sell me one!?!?! (Most of his work is armorial, often Scottish and he’s made the Lord Lyon King of Arm’s Collar of Office as probably his best known work……) Barb McKee mckeedb@aol.com

  2. HA! My bad. I’m an idiot; never mind. I’ve become so used to posts on different sites with a variety of images each linked to a source underneath each image.

  3. there nice, but please dont try and dress the cat in it, thats just cruel. it puts me off buying any of your stuff.

  4. Those are SO beyond kewl… I totally want a mouse one for my brother’s pet mice…lol…

  5. Entertaining and beautiful. I have been envisioning a feline Braveheart all evening. How can I make my dream a reality?

  6. That is awesome!! This guy should get with the guy from Dinner for Shmucks movie! lol

  7. Great things! Very beautiful. Thanks for the photos!
I surf other sites related to Jeff de Boer and find more great things!

  8. there would be hissing and thrashing and yowling and trying to back out of it and trying to run away from it and absolutely mauling any human who dared come near…

  9. if I know cats, they’d give a shit… there would be hissing and thrashing and yowling and trying to back out of it and trying to run away from it and absolutely mauling any human who dared come near… No, the epic battle would be beforehand, trying to put the armor on the cats!

  10. Gorgeous metalwork! If I could get my rats to wear something like this, they could LARP Mouse Guard. 🙂 And yeah, the epic cat battle would be…epic!

  11. This stuff is truly amazing!!! I’ve seen museum-quality reproduction armour up cloise, and this looks just as good. Any pics of a cat (or mouse) wearing it? For what purpose was it made (othfr than its intrinsic beauty)?

  12. Pretty amazing! You should make these for dogs too, I have a Podenco who joins us at roman re enactment gigs, it would be awesome to see her in her own gear!

  13. omg i think i just fell in love…your works are simply amazing to me. a true godsend.

  14. Oh, if I know cats, they’d give a shit… there would be hissing and thrashing and yowling and trying to back out of it and trying to run away from it and absolutely mauling any human who dared come near… No, the epic battle would be beforehand, trying to put the armor on the cats!

  15. I think a bunch of cats not giving a shit whilst wearing armour would make a brilliant film.

  16. Whenever i start stumbling i see this blog and one of my favourites:)

Anyway..thanks for the post and the artist..great idea

  17. Except cats don’t give a shit and there would just be ball licking and napping instead of any epic battles.

  18. OMFG, Brother we must band together this is serious

    ok, here is my plan.

We all donate money to buy like a thousand of these cat armor suits, and we go to like scotland or ireland and film an epic cat battle scene.

Imagine if you will one cat army sitting before a large hill waiting in formation banners whipping in the wind, and then the sound on armor comes, cats look to the top of the hill and there marches the opposing army over the hill in formation, we would have to cgi the battle. This would be so epic.

We could get the cats from animal shelters and set them free afterwards.

  19. You forgot something important: cats not giving a shit.

What you’ll film is a bunch of cats not giving a shit while wearing armor.

  20. Wow!! Jeff de Boer is extremely creative and talented. These works of art are amazing.

  21. WOW! NO! It’s more than just WOW!
I like every model. Fantastic idea and realization!
