Stunning Animal Chair collection by Spanish designer Maximo Riera was replenished with new item – Elephant Chair. Elephant is one of the most popular animal in India, so designer decided to decorate this chair accordingly to Indian motives. The carvings and patterns found on traditional furniture are reproduced according to the original hand-made pieces. The distinctive asymmetrical surface is translated into morph metric data using advanced software. The overall structure is carved from compressed foam with an internal steel frame. The final object is enveloped in fine leather, allowing all the detail to be refined. Elephant Chair weighs 160 kg or 353 lbs. It’s the throne, simultaneously furniture and gorgeous sculpture. This beautiful leather armchair called “Juliet” was created by London based industrial designer Benjamin Hubert for Italian brand Poltrona Frau. Juliet was the winner of Poltrona Frau’s search for its Centenary armchair – the Italian company is celebrating 100 years in business! “The idea is inspired by fashion and takes a particular detail, the puff sleeve, to give rise to a new concept of armchair, with a strong design. Juliet. Traditional wooden frame which, narrower at the base, widens in a “puff” at the seat. Here, the rich upholstery re-invents the classic capitonné in a contemporary, soft, free version, enriched by original crimp stitching for interiors in recollection of the embroidery and ruffling of women’s sleeves and bodies, creating a faceted pattern that ripples the surfaces. With a complex creation that expresses all the mastery of the Poltrona Frau craftsmen. ” Take a look!
“Superheroes” Collection by Glimpt Studio

This beautiful furniture collection “Superheroes” was created by Swedish design studio Glimpt for Cappellini. “A family of seating furniture, where the large stool can also be used as a table. Threads are rolled around a tubing that is attached to a metal frame, this process originates from a Vietnamese technique where paper thread is rolled around sea grass to make small bowls. The idea of Superheroes came following a journey to Vietnam where Glimpt visited different artisans, studying their techniques and finding inspiring materials and colours. Glimpt also wanted to incorporate other influences in their work so they contacted the Swedish illustrator Malin Koort, who helped develop the patterns for the series. Glimpt likes to look at history and aesthetics of the countries they visit, keeping open mind and being inspired by the people, the country and the culture itself.”
“Keramos” Cabinets by Coprodotto

They are made from glazed ceramic and wood and look fabulous. “Keramos is the first Coprodotto born from the cooperation between Adriano Design and La Castellamonte. La Castellamonte is an excellency in the stoves and ceramic production, keeper and innovatory of an ancient tradition of Castellamonte, dating back to 13th century.
“Wood Casting” Furniture by Hilla Shamia

Called “Wood Casting” is was created by Tel Aviv based product designer Hilla Shamia. “The negative factor of burnt wood is transformed into aesthetic and emotional value. Missix by Di Marzio Design is a small armchair made of rotational molded polythene and featuring a fully modern and clean design. “Missix’s name comes from its unique heavy-rounded, number six shape.
