Pagani’s latest creation, the Huayra Codalunga Speedster, channels the spirit of 1960s endurance racing with a brutal mix of elegance and mechanical purity. Built by the brand’s Grandi Complicazioni division, this open-top hypercar stretches over 193 inches long, paying homage to long-tail legends like the Porsche 908 LH and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2. The lowered windshield, seamless roof integration, and minimalist side windows shape its aerodynamic silhouette, while the body’s sculpted lines enhance stability at high speed and soften its visual presence.
Underneath that long-tail body is a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 developed with Mercedes-AMG, delivering 864 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. What sets this machine apart is the transmission: buyers can choose a 7-speed AMT or a true gated 6-speed manual gearbox by Xtrac. No hybrid assistance, no all-wheel-drive gimmicks – just a brutal V12 pushing power to the rear wheels through a mechanical gearbox. In a market shifting toward electrification and automation, this is a statement piece – raw, loud, and analog.
Inside, the Speedster remains defiantly traditional. Analog gauges, exposed linkages, and mechanical switchgear take center stage, wrapped in leather and brushed metal with more than 450,000 stitches per seat. Pagani’s obsessive craftsmanship is on full display – from titanium bolts to CNC-machined knobs, every detail reinforces the brand’s refusal to compromise.
Only ten units of the Huayra Codalunga Speedster will be built, each custom-tailored to its buyer. Deliveries begin in 2026. This model follows the 2022 Codalunga coupe, of which just five were made. That version already claimed Best of Show at Villa d’Este in 2023, and the Speedster is likely to follow in its footsteps – both literally and metaphorically.
With a top speed of 217 mph and the kind of attention to detail usually reserved for haute horology, the Huayra Codalunga Speedster isn’t just a car. It’s a mechanical sculpture for those who still believe driving should stir the soul – not just the spec sheet. Also donćt forget to check our list of the most expensive cars.
