Lounge seating has become a cornerstone of contemporary office design, supporting collaboration and informal interaction. Yet too often these spaces are built through a patchwork of mismatched pieces that fail to create a cohesive atmosphere. The Dotti Collection from KFI Studios solves that problem by offering a unified line of lounge chairs, ottomans, poufs, and tables that balance comfort with a sense of purpose. Designed by Union Design, the collection’s rounded upholstered forms convey softness and ease, while its thoughtful detailing gives it a polished, professional character.
The newest addition, the Dotti Lounge Chair with Upholstered Back, introduces a more tailored personality to the range. Jeff Theesfeld, founder of Union Design, describes the evolution as a shift from pure relaxation to a more active and engaged posture. The low-back chair can be customized with or without a wood surround, available in both high and low versions, allowing for a sense of openness or greater privacy depending on the space. Finishes range from light tones like white and ash to deeper shades of European ash and dark chestnut. The upholstery can be selected from a full spectrum of tints and can either blend in harmoniously or contrast for visual interest. An optional swivel base with an auto-return feature adds flexibility and ease of movement, ideal for dynamic office environments.
The pouf complements the lounges perfectly, its leather handle making it easy to reposition as needed. The ottoman can be placed alongside the chairs or serve as a stand-alone accent, while the two available table sizes complete the composition with surfaces that come in a variety of durable Wilsonart HPL colors. Together, these elements create a complete, versatile collection that fits effortlessly into workplaces, hospitality areas, and public lounges.
What sets Dotti apart is its ability to bring cohesion to environments that demand both structure and comfort. Every piece is designed to work harmoniously with the others, resulting in spaces that feel intentional rather than improvised. The gentle curves, customizable materials, and thoughtful ergonomics invite relaxation without compromising on professionalism. It’s a collection that proves flexibility doesn’t have to come at the expense of design integrity.
