Do you want to travel with home comfort? If yes – check this amazing timber trailer home. ProtoHaus is a timber frame or “stick built” house with accent on sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics. It’s fabricated primarily from recycled and reclaimed materials. The building process was overseen and assisted by S. C. Holley Construction. This transportable house is built on a trailer bed rated to withstand 14,000 pounds. Separate fresh, gray, and black water systems are integrated into the design allowing for remote removal and disposal of waste. A solar and wind system power the house allowing it to be off grid. Stunning idea!

Can anyone tell me what brand of stove this is?
Does anyone know the brand of stove? It looks like a nice one.
This is living the “magic”. There’s nothing more beautiful than sleeping in the house on wheel.. if i tell a friend, it might sound stupid. but i actually believe this!
amazed at all the people on here who think this is an RV, it’s for people who want to downsize their lifestyle and minimize everything including costs, they are not packing up every 5 days and hitting the road, they live in this on some land and yes it has 110v, it costs about 23K to make, and yes you can adapt solar to anything
this house on wheels is awsome! I would like to sleep in bed on the attic :))
Awesome kitchen! It is bigger than my parents kitchen.
Wow, with trailer homes like this who wouldn’t want to be trailer trash.
how amazed, not any wooden hangers in house
It would appear that would be a lot of weight to haul around.
Fabulous! I want one!
This moving house is so amazing. Thanks for shearing this and for the wonderful idea.
I think this is a great moving room. It’s very beautiful and it has almost everything needed for life. The only problem is it does not sleep well because the top of the bed is a triangle roof.
triangular dreams are the best…
the roof actually has dormers blown out on the sides to open that space up, so it’s not actually as triangular in the bed as you think
That bedroom looks amazing. does this have 100-250v ac outlets?
I would love to be mobil and see the country. This is certainly not trailer trash. It’s better than most apartments.
Not practical but, sure looks cool! The neighbors will think you’ve built a new bunkie overnight – not that a visiting RVer is parked in your driveway (LOL).
it’s not meant to sit in a driveway or to be used as an RV, many of these people have this on their own land with water and electric hook up, they live permanently in it to downsize
Still waiting for someone to explain how you get up to the bed.
in other pictures you will see a ladder that connects to the beds metal crossbar but is stowed away when not needed
I am surprised that it has so many vaces and other breakables sitting out on shelves. Otherwise I really like it. The stove is gas powered, what about the fridge?
I wonder how you would go up to that bed.
with the ladder that’s in the pictures
Maybe there’s ladders in pictures at another website, but I see NO ladders in any of these pictures. Obviously you NEED one to get up to the loft, but they’ve ingeniously left any hint of a ladder out of these.
I am not seeing a ladder for getting to the bed in any of these pictures. I am not saying there is not one, but for reason it would help the visual to see a picture with the ladder up in at least one of the pictures. Maybe you would consider?
for similar designs look at:

I’m thinking of building one in the future.
This goes so far beyond “typical trailer home” that it really shouldn’t be compared. This is a piece of art. I would rather live in this beauty than a 3,000 sq foot house with a pool. The decor is top notch too. Quite being such internet nay-sayers. Is it the pinnacle of perfection? Probably not. Would you die in it? Probably not. *Waits for someone to try to find a contradicting example…*
I think that would stand out in the trailer park
Muy buena, increíble. Yo quiero una.
This is great as a tiny house but when it comes to travel trailers it’s weight and complete lack of aerodynamics makes it anything but green. This trailer would reduce your fuel mileage by several MPG when compared to conventional travel trailers.
If you’re looking for a cabin or a tiny house this is a great choice but as a travel trailer that you intend to move more than once, I highly recommend you look towards more conventional travel trailers.
omg this is not an rv or travel trailer, do you read? it’s meant to be used as a home but bc building codes require fixed structure homes to be at least 500 sq feet or more they get around this by putting it on a trailer, this is the persons home not a weekend get away vehicle, they buy a piece of land or rent and hook up water and electric
That’s what the great outdoors are for– DUH!

This is a video that should answer some of the questions.
Beautiful.Thank you!
What does the bathroom look like? Can you add a pic?
Am I the only one that noticed the light bulb hanging by it’s wires? That’s not safe. Also every time you move you would have to pack all the housewares away, bit of a pain…but it isn’t too bad as long as you don’t move too often. Great for a mountain getaway.
Cute design, but how affordable is it?
You are the only one to notice that. The bulb is too bright and burned my eyes when I looked at it. Im sure nobody else noticed it since we dont have crazy eyes like you do. Also, im sure that it was secured after paint was applied. (obviously a construction photo)
Tiny houses of this high caliber would cost about $30,000 to $50,000.
23k to build
Very Nice! please post hoe you made it and more details about the wiring. does it support 120 V AC? or just 12 V DC?
can you store the energy generated by the solar and wind or do u have to use it when generated
I love the design, but this is so impractical. Campers like this need to be designed to move around. If you come to a relatively fast stop, all that stuff is gonna come crashing down. You need something to secure loose stuff.
Thank God you thought of that, imagine if they didnt, all their stuff would come crashing down. Thanks for mentioning it.
not a camper or RV chief, it’s home, attempt to read about tiny homes, why they’re built and who’s living in them, there’s a reason they are on trailers, building codes for homes require permanent structures to be at least 500 sq ft if you will be living in them, if you put it on a moveable trailer there is no size requirement
No hood for the stove? How do you get to the bed? Climb a ladder? Steps? I would have liked to know how much water it can store and more pictures. Website?
go to tumbleweed homes or boneyard studios to learn more, yes there is a ladded in the pictures, water usually has a tank to fill 25-40 gallons but most have it set up to hose in fresh water as many people have these on their own land with a power source and water, this isn’t an RV it’s a home
More of a camper really. Not sure I’d want one as a permanent place of living, but as camp get away from it all. Sure set it off in the woods some where and escape.
looked way comfortable. Would have been nice to have seen a website and a price.
Dude, there’s a link in the description for a website…and even their own website doesn’t list the price.
you can click on the link in the text to see the website…
nice and down to earth non-futuristic human scale – would like to make one myself
look at tumbleweed tiny houses
That is what I call fail… Nor the design, nor functionality. But idea ir pretty cool 🙂
Why is it “fail” then retard?
Beautiful trailer home!
