The BMW M4 Convertible already delivers 523 horsepower straight from the factory but G-Power decided that wasn’t nearly enough. Their latest creation, the G4M Hurricane Bi-Turbo Cabrio, takes the open-top M4 and elevates it into a supercar rival in raw power and performance while keeping costs much lower than Ferraris or McLarens – and you still enjoy the breeze with the roof down.
G-Power’s tuning pedigree stretches back decades. In 1997 they supercharged the E36 M3, pushing it from 286 to 400 horsepower. Now they channel that legacy into modern BMW twin-turbo architecture. With the GP-720 package the M4’s 3.0-liter inline-six now generates 720 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque – almost 200 hp beyond what BMW deemed enough – and achieves a top speed of 205 mph.
That boost comes courtesy of ECU recalibration, upgraded air intake, and G-Power’s signature DEEPTONE exhaust. The distinctive carbon-fiber quad-tip setup features two 100 mm and two 110 mm outlets. Despite the surge in performance, visual changes remain tasteful. The GP-VENTURI carbon hood adds real cooling benefits without drawing attention. GP-SHURIKEN grille bits and sculpted bumper corners refine airflow and aesthetics. GP-HURRICANE RR forged wheels are engineered to withstand the rigors of 205 mph runs.
The interior embraces subtle carbon fiber touches across the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel – enhancing the cabin without overpowering its functionality. The full GP-720 upgrade costs €35,700 in Germany – about $41,600 – making it far from entry-level, but far more affordable than a comparably performing exotic.
If someone prefers a gentler incline, G-Power offers staged packages: entry-level starts at €3,685 for roughly 600 hp, with intermediate brackets including 620, 650, or 670 hp. Individual components, like the carbon hood or DEEPTONE exhaust, are available separately. In sum this rendition of the M4 doesn’t just amplify power – it redefines what an open-top sports car can deliver in terms of speed, sound, and presence.
