The Dubai-based customization house has unveiled Wings of Love, a new limited creation from its Garden of Eden collection, and subtlety was never part of the brief.
Caviar has built its reputation on transforming everyday tech into unapologetic luxury objects, often involving Rolex movements, heavy precious metals, and pricing that makes financial advisors sigh deeply. Wings of Love follows that tradition, though with a softer, more poetic tone than the brand’s usual black-and-gold bravado.
Instead of the expected dark base, the phone is wrapped in slate blue-grey leather, hovering visually between storm cloud and morning mist. The color choice feels deliberate and restrained, designed to support what comes next rather than compete with it. Across this surface, swallows in mid-flight are sculpted in raised 24K rose gold, their wings accented with mother-of-pearl inlays that shimmer as the light shifts. Branches, vines, and leaves weave through the composition, each leaf tipped with its own iridescent shell detail. The result looks less like a phone back and more like a miniature Art Nouveau panel that belongs in a glass case rather than a pocket.
The swallow motif is doing real symbolic work here. Across cultures, the bird represents loyalty, devotion, and return. Sailors once tattooed swallows as promises of coming home. Folklore treated them as messengers of enduring affection. Caviar leans fully into that legacy, framing Wings of Love as an object for women who see love as a guiding force rather than a momentary feeling.
One of the most striking design decisions is how the camera module has been handled. Instead of tolerating the inevitable camera bump, Caviar absorbed it entirely into the decorative structure. The camera sits flush within an ornate gold and mother-of-pearl composition, crowned with a blooming rose motif. The phone is slightly thicker overall, but the payoff is cohesion. Nothing interrupts the design. The camera becomes part of the narrative, framed like a window in an illuminated manuscript. Adding a case would defeat the purpose entirely.
Along the sides, “Garden of Eden” is engraved alongside an individual edition number. Hallmark stamps on the bottom edge certify the 24K gold content, reinforcing that this object is treated with the same seriousness as fine jewelry. Which, functionally, it is.
Production is capped at 14 units worldwide. That number is final. This makes Wings of Love less a consumer product and more a wearable heirloom that happens to run iOS. Pricing starts at $10,340 for the iPhone 17 Pro with 256GB of storage and rises to $12,270 for the Pro Max in 2TB configuration. Buyers can also commission the customization on a device they already own, which may slightly soften the conversation with their accountant.
Packaging follows the same philosophy. The box is interactive and includes a Caviar key finished in 24K gold. At this price point, even the unboxing has obligations.
Excess is not a flaw here. It is the entire concept. Wings of Love is not trying to be practical or accessible. With fourteen units in existence, it is mathematically irrelevant to almost everyone. The goal is meaning, permanence, and spectacle. This is Caviar saying that sometimes love is not whispered, it is engraved in gold. Closing this tab afterward might still be a wise move.
