Realme has turned its latest smartphone collaboration into something much more elaborate than a themed phone. The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition combines Hogwarts-inspired details with a collector’s package designed to look like Harry Potter’s own school trunk.
The phone itself keeps the hardware of the standard realme 16 Pro, including a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G processor, 200MP main camera, and a massive 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The Harry Potter treatment is almost entirely visual, but Realme has put considerable effort into making those details feel connected to the story.
The rear panel features a brown leather-like texture with an Argyle pattern inspired by the Wizard’s Chess scene. A Hogwarts crest sits prominently in the center, while the camera module has been redesigned to resemble the eyes of Hedwig, Harry’s snowy owl. Even the metallic frame gets a small reference, with “Welcome to Hogwarts” engraved into the side.
The packaging is where this edition becomes much more interesting. Instead of arriving in a conventional smartphone box, the phone comes inside a vintage-style trunk designed as a replica of Harry’s school luggage. The limited-edition bundle contains a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a train ticket, house-themed bookmarks, character postcards, a Hogwarts-embossed phone case, and a collectible pin.
Only 5,000 units of the special edition are planned worldwide, turning the packaging itself into part of the collectible. Realme is also keeping the Harry Potter references relatively restrained on the device, allowing the trunk and accompanying accessories to carry much of the storytelling.
The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is scheduled to launch in India on September 21, 2026, with pricing expected to be announced at launch. It follows Realme’s previous collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition.
For fans, the appeal here is clearly about the entire object rather than simply owning a smartphone with a familiar logo on the back. Realme has essentially turned the unboxing into a trip to Hogwarts, with the phone serving as the centerpiece of a much larger piece of Harry Potter memorabilia.
