BRABUS has taken its obsession with high-performance luxury beyond the road with the Shadow 1200, a 45-foot performance boat that combines the speed of a sports machine with the comfort and equipment expected from a luxury yacht.
Built around a twin-stepped hull and developed with Axopar, the Shadow 1200 is powered by three Mercury Verado 5.7-liter V10 outboards, producing a combined 1,200 horsepower. That is enough to push the boat to a claimed 55 knots, or around 102 km/h, while still offering the stability and space expected from a much larger cruiser.
The real surprise is what happens when the engines stop. The Shadow 1200 is designed around multiple social and relaxation areas, including a spacious foredeck, a sheltered helm, a large cockpit with a wet bar, an aft deck, and a forward lounge accessed through distinctive gullwing doors. Its side balcony doors can also fold down, expanding the usable deck area and bringing passengers closer to the water.
The interior follows the familiar BRABUS formula of leather, carbon fiber, precision detailing, and dramatic lighting. The boat can be equipped with premium JL Audio, integrated LED and underwater lighting, electric sunroofs, multiple refrigerators, grills, induction cooking, air conditioning, and even an optional aft cabin.
Technology is equally serious. The helm features large Simrad multifunction displays, an intelligent steering system, joystick piloting, autopilot, Skyhook positioning, and optional radar, night vision, and additional navigation equipment.
Despite its imposing size and luxury focus, the Shadow 1200 remains fundamentally a performance machine. Its 13.9-meter hull and triple 400-hp engines give it the ability to cover serious distances quickly, while the enclosed cabin and adaptable layout make it suitable for everything from high-speed day trips to overnight adventures.
BRABUS has essentially taken the philosophy behind its most extravagant cars and put it on the water. The result is a boat that does not ask its owner to choose between speed and comfort. It delivers 1,200 horsepower when the throttle goes down, then turns into a luxury lounge when it is time to slow down. Also be sure to check most expensive luxury yachts in the world.
