Unique Retro Car - 1937 BMW 328 Mille Miglia Buegelfalte

BMW 328 roadster

This extraordinarily beautiful retro car BMW 328 roadster was built before WWII in an amount slightly less than 500 copies. The model that you could see at photos was developed by BMW designer Wilhelm Mayrhofer specifically to race in the 1940 Mille Miglia. After WWII, this BMW 328 roadster was taken to Russia as a compensation where until recently was stored. Despite the advanced age the car remained in excellent condition. On May 1, 2010 auction house RM Auctions in Monaco will expose this unique retro car at auction. Instead Buegelfalte BMW Museum will exhibit an exact copy, and original one will get the lucky guy who will buy it in Monaco.

it’s preeeetty beautiful. I do have to agree that it doesn’t look retro, it actually looks like an old car…I find that cool, though.

Retro or not, this thing is an absolute work of art. Just awesome.

i could have sworn retro was a modern looking car modeled after an old car… this car looks.. umm… like an old car. maybe its just me, but i dont see anything modern, or retro about it.
