Today we want to show you two things at once: ring and sculptures. The author is Rebecca Rose. She creates unique rings-sculptures. "My methods involve a process called kit bashing, where I assemble found and burnable objects reminiscent of childhood toys, game pieces, organic materials, and imported miniatures in order to convey a narrative or story. An avid art collector myself, I create works with the collector in mind. The precious metals used in the series retain monetary value, as sterling silver consistently appreciates in the world market, and by providing accurate and highly detailed documentation for each piece, provenance is a cinch." If you’re interested – then go to Rebecca Rose’s website where you can select and buy any of them!
With the recent unveiling of the Ferrari’s “LaFerrari” at the Geneva Motor Show, the pressure was on for Hublot to deliver something just as exceptional and the MP-05 LaFerrari watch is the result. Looking like a miniature engine strapped to the wrist, the limited edition timepiece is priced at a cool 300,000 Swiss francs, or about $322,000. The MP-05 “LaFerrari” was developed – in technical and design terms – entirely in parallel with the car, alongside the Ferrari teams. They share a number of common points. Able to boast no fewer than 637 components for the movement, which is also equipped with a Tourbillon, as well as a power reserve of approximately 50 days thanks to its 11 barrels, arranged in a line just like a spinal column and interconnected so that they do not each discharge in turn but support each other, this watch is closer to being a concept watch.
If you like unordinary things and want to be unique then this playful Clip Bag is for you. It borrows its form from a common office item – the binder clip. Constructed of wool felt and aluminum tubing, the bag functions so well you might forget just how clever it is. Peter Bristol is the clever designer of this unique bag.

The Digital Destruction Watch is a good analogy for how old has to make way for the new. Designed by Ross McBride the watch features a face where the analog dial seems to have been destroyed by the elements and made way for the digital era. “Time marches on. The old must make way for the new, but sometimes it does not go willingly as with the Digital Destruction Watch. Set in an analog body, the traditional mechanical dial seems to have shattered to make way for the digital LCD screen. The “crown” is actually a button that switches between time, second, and date modes, as well as activate the backlight.” If it looks interesting to you – you can always buy it here.
In a few days at Baselworld 2013 De Bethune will represent DB25 Imperial Fountain, a new special edition of sets of 12 timepieces. Inspired by the bronze Zodiac Animal Heads which adorned an ornate fountain in the famous Yuanming Yuan (Old Summer Palace) outside of Beijing, China, these beautiful watches feature elaborately engraved animal heads for the 12 Chinese zodiac symbols. Each of the 12 animals heads, engraved by master artist Michèle Rothen using the bas relief technique, is in the middle of the dial of its watch, backed by a Grand Feu enamel relief of the corresponding Zodiac symbol.
CGSociety user, Cyber recently designed a ring clock, a mechanical ring made from stainless steel that displays the time. It has three rings that rotate separately, displaying the hour, minutes and seconds. An indicator ensures that you put the ring on properly, and the current time is highlighted. Not only is this little gadget functional, but it’s also quite stylish.
