TAG Heuer has unveiled a new limited-edition Carrera Chronograph that pays tribute to one of Japan’s most influential names in motorsport. Created in collaboration with Team Ikuzawa and Bamford Watch Department, the new timepiece blends Swiss watchmaking with Japanese racing culture, taking inspiration from a vintage Roadmaster dashboard stopwatch used during the golden era of Japanese motorsport in the 1970s and 1980s.
The watch is based on the modern 39mm Carrera Glassbox, whose bezel-free design echoes the clean appearance of classic racing stopwatches. Its white Clous de Paris dial is contrasted by bold red details inspired by Team Ikuzawa’s iconic racing colors, while oversized pushers and a crown with a red lacquered ring reinforce its vintage motorsport character. Instead of a traditional running seconds display, the watch features the Team Ikuzawa logo above the date window, giving the dial a distinctive and uncluttered look.
Inside is TAG Heuer’s automatic TH20-10 chronograph movement, visible through a sapphire crystal caseback. The movement offers an 80-hour power reserve and continues the Carrera collection’s long-standing connection to motorsport timing and precision.
Limited to just 150 individually numbered pieces, the watch arrives with a stainless steel bracelet as well as two additional straps, including a white leather option with red stitching and a sporty red-and-white textile strap. The presentation is equally special, with the watch delivered inside a toolbox-inspired case alongside a travel pouch and exclusive Team Ikuzawa accessories.
More than another special edition, the Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa celebrates the legacy of pioneering racing driver Tetsu Ikuzawa and the modern creative direction of his daughter, Mai Ikuzawa.
