TAG Heuer created a limited edition Carrera in collaboration with Porsche customizer RUF, watch customizer Bamford, and street fashion publication Highsnobiety. The TAG Heuer Carrera x Bamford x RUF x Highsnobiety watch is delivered in a special green and yellow color scheme, which matches the rest of a capsule that launches today (9 am EST August 10, 2022).
The RUF capsule collection consists of RUF and HighSnobiety branded products, that include a keychain, multiple clothing items, a Yeti water bottle, and more. This special Carrera chronograph utilizes TAG Heuers existing 42 mm diameter stainless steel Carrera case which houses a manufacture Heuer 02 column-wheel equipped chronograph movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
In addition to the green and yellow dial colors, the RUF logo has been added, not too inconspicuously, at 6 o’clock, with “HS” included just below the letter F in RUF. At the very bottom of the dial “BAMFORD, HEUER 02.” Flip the watch over and there the three co-brands are printed in white on the sapphire caseback. The rotor has also been given special gold-plated treatment.
This is effectively the same watch TAG Heuer currently charges $5,400 for but with the small seconds and date displays removed for the RUF x Bamford x High Snobiety collaboration. Each RUF Carrera timepiece comes with a Saffiano Verde leather green and yellow strap (as shown) and a textile Nat-style velcro strap, along with specially branded outer and inner boxes.
