Alpina introduces the Alpiner Manufacture Date Special Edition, a strictly limited run of 130 watches created in collaboration with the Geneva-based creative studio Label Noir . Known for its dark, monochromatic visual language, Label Noir takes an unexpected turn here, working with Alpina to reinterpret alpine aesthetics through an almost entirely white composition accented by subtle mineral grey details.

The watch is built around a 41.5 mm stainless steel case with a height of 13.0 mm, constructed in three parts and combining polished elements with textured surfaces. For the first time in Alpina’s history, both the bezel and the lugs receive a hammered finish. The effect is intentionally organic, referencing freshly fallen snow and adding depth to an otherwise restrained design. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating crowns the case, while the screwed caseback is engraved and fitted with a mineral glass window. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, equivalent to 50 metres.

The dial continues the winter narrative with a frosted white surface marked by a fine, irregular grain. Without a flange, the dial visually extends to the very edge of the case, enhancing the sense of verticality beneath the domed sapphire crystal. A sector-style minute track runs along the perimeter, alternating rectangular markers at the quarters with circular indexes at five-minute intervals, all rendered in grey. Both the Alpina and Label Noir logos sit discreetly at 12 o’clock.

Time is displayed via three centrally mounted hands. The hour and minute hands are painted white and filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova for clear legibility in low-light conditions. The seconds hand is also white, distinguished by a triangular counterweight. The date indication appears at 6 o’clock and is shown by a dedicated hand, a layout closely associated with Alpina manufacture movements designed for extended power reserve.

Inside, the watch is powered by the in-house automatic calibre AL-706, marking the return of a manufacture movement to the Alpiner line. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 26 jewels. A 72-hour power reserve is achieved through an enlarged barrel and a revised mainspring alloy. Decorative finishing includes perlage on the plate, barrel bridge, gear bridge, and balance bridge, while the oscillating weight features fan-shaped Côtes de Genève. All of this is visible through the transparent caseback.

The watch is paired with a white textile strap, complemented by white leather loops and a matching tab, and secured with a folding buckle. The Alpina x Label Noir Alpiner Manufacture Date Special Edition is priced at €3,695 and limited to 130 individually produced pieces, positioning it as a restrained yet technically substantial expression of modern alpine watchmaking.
