The 43 mm quartz version is limited to 3 000 pieces and echoes the aesthetic of the S/EL. It features a stainless-steel case, a matching S-link bracelet, and a black tachymeter bezel insert that underlines its racing roots. The black sunray-brushed dial is highlighted by yellow details and a subdial inspired by the Brazilian flag at 6 o’clock – a subtle tribute to Senna’s iconic helmet. The skeletonized hands, date window, and 200-meter water resistance make it functional enough for daily wear, yet unmistakably a collector’s piece. Priced at around €2 650, it captures the feel of 1988 with a refined modern finish.
The 44 mm automatic model pushes the design further. It uses a black DLC-coated titanium case, a forged-carbon bezel, and a bright yellow rubber strap that screams performance. Inside beats the automatic Calibre 16 movement, bringing mechanical energy to a watch that looks as if it belongs on the starting grid. The dial layout remains familiar – black with yellow racing cues and a tricolor subdial at 6 o’clock – but the overall impression is darker, lighter, and more aggressive.
