Jacob & Co. and Bugatti continue their collaboration with one of the most extravagant expressions of watchmaking and automotive artistry to date. The Tourbillon Baguette takes inspiration directly from Bugatti’s legendary hypercars while pushing haute horlogerie into new territory.
The watch features a bold 55 × 44 mm tonneau-shaped case crafted in 18K gold and set with more than 400 baguette-cut gems, either diamonds or sapphires, creating a seamless jeweled surface. Seven sapphire crystal panels surround the case, giving a panoramic view of the complex movement inside.
At its heart is a W16 engine-block automaton, where 16 sapphire pistons rise and fall in perfect rhythm every 15 seconds, animated by a single crankshaft. The spectacle recreates the drama of Bugatti’s engineering, bringing the sensation of a roaring engine to the wrist.
Precision is maintained by a 30-degree inclined flying tourbillon, dramatically positioned to both enhance accuracy and showcase mechanical artistry. The movement, known as the JCAM37 caliber, is composed of 578 components, powered manually, and offers a 60-hour reserve.
Three crowns are integrated at the base of the case, one for winding, one for time setting, and another to activate the piston automaton. This design choice eliminates the traditional side crown and keeps the profile balanced.
For collectors, exclusivity is guaranteed. The Tourbillon Baguette is strictly limited to 18 pieces worldwide. Pricing reflects its status as both a high-jewelry masterpiece and a horological feat, reaching well into the upper end of luxury watchmaking.
This creation is more than a timepiece – it is a fusion of kinetic sculpture, jewelry, and mechanical innovation. It mirrors Bugatti’s ethos of uncompromising performance and Jacob & Co.’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of design, leaving behind a statement of power, luxury, and precision.
