Jet Capsule Yacht by Pierpaolo Lazzarini

Jet Capsule yacht

Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini has developed a futuristic looking Jet Capsule – a miniature luxury yacht. Produced in Naples, Italy the egg-shaped boat features a powerboat hull constructed entirely from fiberglass and also stainless steel handrails. The fun water craft measures 7.5 meters and is powered by a 325-hp yanmar diesel with a hamilton waterjet – allowing propulsion speeds of up to 25 knots. The Capsule accommodates enough room to seat four people on each side, with alternate arrangements available. Offering a fully customizable interior, there are a wide range of soft finishes and exterior gelcoat colors. The idea was based on, “having a boat small enough to be easily maneuvered, yet spacious enough to take a handful of friends out for drinks, over to a port for an evening’s entertainment” says the designer. Sold from $ 40,000, this creation worthy of a James Bond movie.

Maybe it’ just me, but I think it looks like an iron. A beautiful iron, but an iron just the same.

Worthy of a James Bond movie indeed. It looks great out on the water at night it seems – love the lighting, and the egg like shape must make it pretty easy to cut through rough winds, too.
