Following the presentation at the end of 2020 of the Big Bang Unico Berluti Cold Brown, Hublot partnered again with Berluti for the creation of the Big Bang Unico Berluti Aluminio, a new expression of the Art of Fusion philosophy.
Limited to just 100 copies, as with every collaboration between Hublot and Berluti, this edition combines the satin-finished and polished Grade 5 titanium of the 44 mm x 15.45 mm case with the elegant Aluminio Venezia leather that is used for the strap, the dial and the bezel. The special patina with its various monochrome shades is the result of a long and complex handwork and each piece is unique thanks to the colour variations created by this craftsmanship.
The leather of the dial is held between two pieces of sapphire glass, whose cut reveals the gears of the Unico movement. The indices and words “Swiss Made” are gauffered directly on the surface.
For the bezel, Hublot used a two-part design: with the help of a sticky, rigid resin, the first piece of the bezel – in leather, about 1 mm thick – is inserted onto the second piece, in grey titanium, and then screwed onto the case of the watch. This way, the bezel’s leather will take the same patina of the strap over time.
The new timepiece is powered by the Hublot MHUB1280 manufacture calibre. Offering a flyback function, this self-winding chronograph movement with column-wheel beats at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour with an autonomy of 72 hours.
The strap is equipped with the patented One Click attachment system that allows wearers to change their strap with a single click.
Water resistant up to a pressure of 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet), the Hublot Big Bang Unico Berluti Aluminio has a price of $25,200. Also you might be interested in the list of the most expensive watches in the world.
